Mark’s supply chain expertise spans both the classroom and tangible experience – an MBA in Supply Chain Management followed by 13 years inside the industry through three companies and two acquisitions, working the account of a Fortune 500 chemical manufacturer and later expanding to include one of the world’s most famous clothing brands.
While earning his MBA at Rutgers Business School, Mark completed a logistics internship at International Specialty Products (now Ashland Inc.), a chemical manufacturer. There, he audited freight billing and discovered a pattern of LTL misclassification: commodity-specific rates billed for freight that should have qualified for a lower FAK (Freight of All Kinds) rate. Correcting the errors recovered more than $40,000 in overpayments – an early sign of the financial results he’d bring to logistics throughout his career.
After graduating in 2012, Mark spent the next 13 years working the BASF chemical account across three companies – from LMS Logistics to Transplace to Uber Freight via acquisitions – giving him a rare continuity of relationship and institutional knowledge with a single major chemical shipper across different corporate environments and delivering results at every stage.
